St. Columbkille Catholic Parish ~ Religious Construction of Iona Hall and Education Building
2,000 Parishioners at St. Columbkille Catholic Parish enjoy their 21,500sft Parish Hall and 11,500sft Education Building. The religious construction project consists of $5 million facility that was built by PBS Contractors and designed by Victor Latavish, AIA, to match the campus’ existing sanctuary.
PBS worked closely with the staff at St. Columbkille while constructing the 9,000sft main hall – the largest venue of its kind in the area – ensuring every step of the religious construction met with all of the codes and regulations required by law, along with the blessing and prayers requested by donors and parishioners alike. The Parish Hall also has a 1,000sft proscenium stage, fully equipped commercial kitchen and two smaller community rooms for groups of 40-50 people. Sixteen administrative offices are also housed in this building in addition to a conference room, all designed to encourage collaboration among staff members.
With eleven classroom / meetings rooms, a nursery and youth activity room, the Education Building sees a lot of activity and is the hub of the St. Columbkille Parish. During the religious construction, the smallest architectural details were included in designing the nursery with windows at toddler’s eye level as well as kid size restrooms. Now, St. Columbkille is ready to effectively manage their extensive community outreach program and help reach as many children as they can.
